Experienced accountant - Luxembourg

The Company is a newly set-up infrastructure platform in Luxembourg. This is an in-house accounting role. You will have the following tasks : Proceeding with daily accounting and able to handle complex and challenging accounting, with support of Finance Director if needed. (example: booking of derivatives or complex transactions) Preparation of Annual accounts in Luxgaap and potentially in IFRS Preparation of the consolidation or review of the consolidation (when it will become applicable) Payments with different local banks, ensuring sufficient cash and making the daily bank reconciliation, with escalation to the Finance Director in case of issues Supporting the Finance Director on Board preparation and presentation Develop and prepare monthly reporting to the Group Liaising with auditors requests (Audit management) Follow-up on Budget (variance explanation) Review VAT and annual tax returns (prepared by Big Four) Support of Finance Director on implementation on processes, policies and procedures Assist to other office's projects and workflows (e.g facilities and IT) This is an indicative list of regular activities, but it is not intended to be exhaustive. You will be working with various stakeholders (Cosec, external providers/advisers, multiple jurisdictions). Your profile: University degree accounting or finance, with a strong focus on accounting (ideally ACCA, CA,CPA) Big four experience 5 years in alternative or private equity / infrastructure experience with a service provider or alternative asset manager or any relevant accounting experiences (fiduciary, bank …) Knowledge in Consolidation is an advantage Knowledge of financial instruments, including derivatives Knowledge of IFRS is an advantage Fluency in English Organizational skills, flexibility in your tasks and ability to meet strict deadlines Strong interest in the investment fund industry Solution oriented Excellent team spirit Proactive, willing to learn and to evolve You will be part of this enthusiastic project and great journey, to develop the Finance function with the Managing Director and the Finance Director.
