Product & Engineering organization

The Product & Engineering organization at CybelAngel is about 45-50 people, from product managers to support agents, from infrastructure experts to data scientists/ML engineers.

Teams are focused on building the web applications and underlying services used by our in-house security analysts, external partners, and clients to handle and remediate cybersecurity threats.

We are looking for a talented Software Engineer who will help CybelAngel build the next generation of those web applications using modern technologies, design principles - and an AI-first mindset.

The teams together share a wide functional scope which comprises dedicated web apps such as:

• Tools for investigating and remediating cybersecurity threats
• Dashboards to help our clients understand their exposure to risks
• APIs for partners to plug into our workflows
• Specialized panels to fine-tune our threat detection technologies

Teams are able to decide and operate on the whole stack ranging from infrastructure to visual appearance, through data models, APIs and business logic, with guidance from more specialized teams when needed (e.g. SRE, Product Design).

Join the Core Team, where you'll tackle a broad and impactful technical scope at the crossroads of all our engineering teams. We're a backend-focused team, deeply immersed in building and maintaining Python APIs that power the products our customers rely on every day-from the APIs behind our frontends to the authorization and authentication systems that keep everything secure. Made up of senior engineers with diverse areas of expertise, the team offers a rich environment to grow, collaborate, and make a real technical impact.

Responsibilities

As a software engineer

All software engineers routinely:

• Design, implement and deploy new product features
• Review and test code written by their teammates
• Monitor applications running in production
• Investigate incidents and fix bugs
• Take part in the daily life of their team

Going further

More experienced engineers do their best to make their team better. More specifically, they:

• Inspire junior engineers by being exemplary
• Pair on difficult tasks with less-experienced engineers
• Improve practices to speed up development
• Identify major technical improvements to be pursued
• Promote attention to product quality

AI in your daily work

AI is already part of how we build at CybelAngel - and we expect this to grow significantly. As an engineer here, you will:

• Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Claude, Cursor, or equivalent) as a genuine productivity lever, not just as an autocomplete
• Critically assess AI-generated code: you know when to trust it, when to push back, and how to review it rigorously
• Contribute to integrating AI/LLM capabilities into our products where relevant - whether that means calling an API, building a retrieval pipeline, or evaluating model outputs
• Share learnings with your team and help shape our collective practices around AI-assisted development
• Stay up to date with how AI tooling is evolving and bring relevant experiments to the table

Stack

• Front-end: VueJS/VueX, Vuetify, TypeScript
• Back-end: Python, Flask
• Databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch
• Infrastructure: GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Gitlab CI, Datadog

Requirements

Your profile

• 3 to 6+ years of experience as a software engineer
• Experience in a fast-growing startup or scale-up environment
• Meaningful contribution to a large web application, especially back-end

Hard skills

• Solid experience with back-end development (ideally Python)
• Comfortable with JavaScript or TypeScript
• Understanding of web-related security risks (or a strong motivation to learn)
• A fullstack & DevOps mindset
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Hands-on experience with AI development tools and a genuine curiosity about their evolution

Soft skills

• Cares about the final product and the end user
• Gets things done with pragmatism
• Questions the status quo when necessary
• Communicates efficiently with others
• Knows how to deal with disagreements constructively
