Embedded Linux C/C++ Software Engineer

Poste:

We are recruiting an Embedded Linux C/C++ Software Engineer. Reporting to the Head of the Software Department, you will join the Scrum development team working on our encoding and decoding platforms running on embedded Linux.

You will work on multimedia processing solutions for medical, military or industrial applications. You will develop the software components required to implement the latest video codecs at the heart of our various product ranges, whilst meeting stringent performance and security requirements.

The main responsibilities are as follows :

• Contribute to the detailed design of the required features

• Develop product features using continuous integration

• Develop and automate the associated tests

• Analyse and rectify any issues detected during testing or validation

• Present your work to the rest of the team

Profil:

About you :

A graduate of an engineering school or equivalent (5 years of higher education), you have at least 5 years’ experience in software development.

The skills required for the role are :

• Programming languages: C, C++, Python. A basic understanding of Rust and JavaScript would be an advantage.

• Technologies: embedded Linux development (interrupts, registers, cross-compilation, etc.), networking and protocols (IP, UDP, etc.). Good command of Yocto. A basic understanding of video encoding/decoding and streaming (GStreamer, H.264, H.265, TS, HLS, etc.) would be an advantage.

• Methodology: Experience with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.

You are independent, pragmatic, enjoy working in a team, and have a strong ability to learn independently. Accustomed to working on a project basis, you have good interpersonal skills and can adapt to the people you deal with and the various constraints you face.

Given our company’s international environment, the ability to read, speak and write technical English is essential for this role.
