Application Development Engineer - Thermoplastic Industry

Our client is a leading distributor in the thermoplastic industry, specializing in providing innovative solutions for the Automotive, Electronics & Electrical (E&E), and Home Appliance sectors.

To further drive our growth and ensure customer satisfaction, we are seeking a talented Application Development Engineer to join their dynamic team.

Position Overview:

As an Application Development Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing thermoplastic solutions tailored to meet the unique requirements of the Automotive, E&E, and Home Appliance industries. You will collaborate closely with customers, internal teams, and external partners to design, test, and optimize thermoplastic applications that enhance product performance, functionality, and durability.

Responsibilities:

Application Design and Development:

• Collaborate with customers to understand their application requirements and challenges.
• Design innovative thermoplastic solutions that meet customer specifications and industry standards.
• Utilize CAD software and simulation tools to create prototypes and conduct feasibility studies.

Material Selection and Testing:

• Evaluate various thermoplastic materials for suitability in automotive, E&E, and home appliance applications.
• Conduct material testing and analysis to assess mechanical, thermal, and chemical properties.
• Work closely with suppliers to source high-quality thermoplastic materials.

Prototype Development and Testing.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

• Provide technical support to customers, sales teams, and production personnel regarding thermoplastic applications.
• Identify and resolve technical issues related to material selection, processing, and performance.

Project Management:

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project milestones.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to drive project success.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineer or Plastic Engineer, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in application development, preferably in the thermoplastic industry or related sectors.
• Strong knowledge of thermoplastic materials, processing techniques, and industry standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to overcome technical challenges.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Project management experience, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and drive results
