Tech Annotator - AI & Robotics Operations - Arabic - Paris

Work location: on-site, Paris (France)

DataForce by TransPerfect is looking for Arabic speaking Tech Annotator to support AI model development through prompt creation, evaluation, and data annotation, and perform hands-on operational tasks involving real-time teleoperation of robotic arms and complex robotic systems. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, good communication skills, precise execution, and the ability to operate safely in a technically advanced environment while collaborating closely with engineering and project stakeholders.

AI Prompting, Evaluation & Annotation

• Develop user prompts and establish robust evaluation criteria for AI model testing.

• Review and rate model responses, ensuring compliance with project guidelines and quality standards.

• Investigate and document failure cases, providing actionable insights for improvement.

• Communicate observations, feedback, and rating justifications effectively to stakeholders.

• Apply guidelines to maintain excellent data quality.

• Annotate and label audio and text data according to project specifications.

• Evaluate the performance of Speech Recognition and Text-to-Speech systems.

• Curate and maintain golden datasets for model development.

• Source audio content from online platforms and transcribe recordings (language-dependent based on project needs).

Robotics Teleoperation

• Operate robotic arms and robotic systems in real time to perform tasks such as:

• Object pickup and placement

• Inspection and verification

• Tele-assisted assembly, loading/unloading, or field operations

• Monitor multiple camera views, sensor feeds, and UI dashboards to maintain situational awareness.

• Record and annotate video sessions of robotic operations for analysis and training purposes.

• Ensure compliance with operational procedures and safety standards.

• Resolve basic operational issues (e.g., software resets, recalibration, re-routing).

• Document and escalate mechanical/software problems to engineering teams with clear, detailed reporting.

• Log task outcomes, anomalies, and operational metrics.

• Provide feedback to improve teleoperation workflows, data quality, and system performance.

Required Qualifications

• Idiomatic fluency in Arabic

• Advanced level of English

• Be in Paris (onsite position)

• Strong attention to detail and critical thinking; a rigorous and methodical approach.

• Efficient execution of assigned tasks and resilience in a dynamic working environment.

• Experience with robotics, remote operation systems, gaming, or joystick-based control interfaces.

• Strong hand–eye coordination and spatial awareness.

• Ability to multitask across multiple camera views, sensor feeds, and UI dashboards.

• Basic understanding of safety procedures in robotics or industrial environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic programming knowledge and ability to review code is a plus.

• Familiarity with AI language models and evaluation processes is a plus.

• Prior experience in teleoperation or remote command centers is a plus.

• Familiarity with robotic platforms (manipulators, mobile robots/AMRs, drones) is a plus.
