About us Institut Curie Research Center Institut Curie, France's leading cancer center, comprises a state-of-the-art hospital specialized in cancer treatment and an internationally renowned multidisciplinary research center combining research in cell biology, genetics, epigenetics, immunology, soft matter physics, organic chemistry, and medicinal chemistry. Mission The Cell Biology and Cancer Department (UMR144) at Institut Curie is seeking applications for a Junior Group Leader position in Cell Biology. The department covers a broad spectrum of research topics and strongly promotes quantitative and interdisciplinary approaches. Current research encompasses intracellular trafficking, cell signaling, molecular motors, cytoskeletal organization, cell migration, cell division, cell polarity, cellular and tissue mechanics, morphogenesis, cellular metabolism, cell size control, nuclear organization, ageing and cancer. The successful candidate will join an internationally recognized scientific environment bringing together leading laboratories in biology, chemistry and biophysics, with a long-standing tradition of interdisciplinary research and close collaboration between teams. A laboratory space designed to accommodate up to six researchers, together with a competitive start-up package including the successful candidate's salary, will be provided. Profile Education and knowledge Applicants must hold a PhD and have completed postdoctoral research experience. Required skills Candidates should demonstrate a strong interest in working within a dynamic and multidisciplinary research environment. We are looking for outstanding scientists with an excellent research track record and the ability to develop an ambitious independent research program in any area of cell biology, image analysis, or technology development for cell biology.
