We are currently looking for a GIS Engineer. The job is located in the Brussels Region premises. The mission involves the development and the improvement of applications related to Osiris.

Responsibilities

• Take care of data management: take charge of the design, perform data analysis and modelling;
• Create cartography and data visualization;
• Ensure workflow improvement and development;
• Contribute to reporting;
• Participate to business needs analysis, analyse incidents & problems, and define technical solutions;
• Test new versions of the software and make recommendations to the developers;
• Implement workaround and changes.

Profil recherché

.You have at least a first experience in a similar role.

.You have some knowledge of a GIS ETL (FME), cartography, a GIS software (preferably QGIS), spatial SQL (Oracle Spatial, PostgreSQL, PostGIS), GIS standards and formats (GeoJSON, GeoTIFF, GeoPackage, GML, OSM) and OGC standard (KML, WMS, WMTS, WFS, WCS, etc.), python programming and/or javascript, web-based GIS extension (openlayers), and server-GIS application (Geoserver)

• You have notion of relational database design and management ;
• Good analytical capabilities,

• Strong communication skills;
• You are organized, proactive, versatile and autonomous.
