ENTERPRISE :

European market infrastructure software company is entering a critical transformation phase. • €12m business unit • 60 employees across Italy, UK, Portugal and India• Clients: Tier-1 banks and primary dealers• Core product: Sell-side OMS and trading infrastructures• Strong backing from a major European exchange group  

KEY RESPONSABILITIES :

Reporting directly to the CEO, we are now looking for a hands-on CTO to restructure, scale, and elevate the entire engineering organisation.Tech Team : 25 people (Back-end, Front-end, QA, Devops)Stack : mainly C++, Java, Angular Mission : Rebuild and lead the engineering organisation with a strong focus on execution, accountability, and technical excellence . This is not a “strategic-only” role. We are looking for someone who can drive change on the ground , structure teams, and ensure delivery actually happens. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and structure engineering teams , ensuring strong ownership and accountability
• Organise teams into cross-functional squads with clear governance and rituals
• Drive execution: set deadlines, track delivery, and ensure high performance
• I mprove architecture, reduce technical debt, and enhance scalability
• Strengthen DevOps , CI/CD, and automation (testing, deployment, monitoring)
• Scale and develop the team ( hiring, coaching, performance culture)

PROFILE

• 10+ years in software engineering
• Proven experience managing teams of 20+ engineers
• Strong background in C++ and backend systems
• Experience in fintech, trading systems, or exchange environments
• Strong experience in DevOps transformation and SDLC improvement
• Experience structuring teams (squads, OKRs, delivery governance)
• Strong leadership, feedback, and communication skills

• Interest in AI or blockchain topics
